China Machinery Engineering & Construction Corporation (CMMEC) was founded in 1953, is one of the wholly-owned subsidiaries of China Machinery Industry Construction Group Inc. (SINOCONST), and is subordinate to China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH) which is one of the world's top 500 enterprises. CMMEC is a large state-owned construction enterprise approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of P. R. China, and its core business is project contracting.

The headquarter of CMMEC is located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, P. R. China. CMMEC has branch units and companies including The First Engineering Unit, the Second Engineering Unit, Qingdao Branch, Guangzhou Branch, Zhengzhou Branch, Ningbo Branch, and overseas offices. CMMEC is a key member of Director Unit of China Installation Association, China Construction Industry Association(CCIA), China Association of Construction Enterprise Management (CACEM), and China Engineering Construction Welding Association(CECWA), China International Contractors Association (CHINCA). CMMEC has been identified as provincial high-tech enterprise in 2016, zhengzhou petrochemical installation technology engineering research center in 2020 and enterprise technology center in 2021.
